Marion County Historical Society is bringing up to date a book containing photographs of former county officials. The book will be on display in the lobby of the courthouse.

The names of six vocal music students from Marion High School will be included in the 1978-’79 edition of “Who’s Who in Music,” according to Jeff Brewer, vocal music director. The students are Janelle Bowers, Doug Heerey, Bill Hoch, Laurie Laubhan, Donita Makovec, and Jay Smith.

Staff writer Pam Vinduska writes this week about Richard Forsberg of Burdick, who took over writing the Burdick news from his mother, Mrs. A.W. Forsberg, who was the previous correspondent “for quite a few years.”
