You don’t want to miss the two-day annual Spring Merchandise and Tractor Show on March 30 and 31 in Marion. Included will be movies in the city building during the afternoons, display booths in the basement, a tractor and implement show on the street, a big spring style show Thursday night, and the Ark Valley Boys on Friday evening.

Re-interment services were Sunday afternoon at Marion Cemetery for Lt. Raleigh Chase Bowlby Jr., who was killed in action in the Cassino drive April 8, 1944.

Junior Post, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Post, celebrated his 9th birthday Saturday afternoon with a party at his home. Boys invited were Bobby Bass, Junior Bledsoe, Jimmy Christensen, Paul Ford, Laird Helmer, Greg Henry, Neil Hoopes, Joel Newlon, Bill Remmers, Paul Schmersey, Tommy Shirley, Laurence Priddle, and Eugene Waner.

Among recent deliveries made by Paul Seifert Motor Co. were a Buick Roadmaster Sedanette to Rudolph Svitak, Chevrolet Styleline four-door sedan to Charles R. Magee, and a Chevrolet Deluxe five-passenger coupe to Otto Krotz.

High school baseball season is coming. Seven lettermen who are returning include Kerns Allen, Don Fruechting, Jim Fruechting, Roger Ireland, Max Merrill, Leslie Powell Jr., and Bob Reinke.
