Herb and Trudy Pankratz of Abilene were recent visitors at the home of Arlene Pankratz.
Many from the Hillsboro area attended the annual community hamburger fry Sept. 14 at the Durham park.
The Cottonwood River Band presented a program of music at the First Baptist Church in Durham Sept. 15. Band members are Richard Dirks, Tim Diener, DeLayne Herbel, and Vince Jantz. Julie Jantz is the vocalist. The program was greatly enjoyed by all.
Norman and Dot Ensz were guests for their 61st wedding anniversary with a family dinner on Sept. 15. Family in attendance were Terry and Joni Ens, Brett and Stephanie Eitzen, and Staci Ens all of Wichita and Randy Ens of Hillsboro.
Russ and Donna Hamm were Sept. 14 evening visitors at the home of Larry and Ruth Hamm.
Many from the area attended funeral services for Nathan Wedel of Abilene on Sept. 13 at the Trinity Church in Hillsboro. Nathan is formerly from the northwest of Durham Community.
