220 U.S. 56

Alvin Earl Banman, 64, 220 U.S. 56, Lehigh, was driving east at 12:15 p.m. Aug. 10 on U.S. 56 when his 1998 Chevrolet pickup caught fire. He pulled into his driveway, stopped, and was unable to put out the fire. The truck was a complete loss. No injuries were reported.

240th Road near Sunflower Road

Elizabeth Rose Sullivan, 37, 1910 240th Road, Marion, was driving east at 7:25 p.m. Aug. 28 when she lost control of a 1986 Nissan pickup registered to Jeffrey Scott Plenert, same address, went off a bridge, and overturned. No injuries were reported.

140th Road near Kanza Road

Benjamin Douglas Loewen, 18, 1418 Limestone, Hillsboro, was driving east when a deer ran into his path. Loewen hit and killed the deer with his 2001 BMW sedan. No injuries were reported.
