Limestone Road north of 350th Road

Ronnie H. Carpenter, 16, of 311 N. B St., Ramona, swerved to miss a coyote and went off the road at 9:15 a.m. July 15. The 2006 Chrysler sedan he was driving crashed into a barbed-wire fence and utility pole.

He was taken by Tampa ambulance to Herington Municipal Hospital. The vehicle is owned by Michael L. Bailey, same address, and had to be towed.

Deer strikes

Hoyt Gold Tessener, 52, of 129 Hillcrest Road, Raleigh, N.C., struck and killed a deer with a 2005 Ford coupe owned by Nicholas Gold Tessener, same address, at 3:55 p.m. June 17 on U.S. 50 east of Yarrow Road.

Debra Sue Van Syoc, 52, of 307 N. Main St., Hillsboro, struck a deer with her 2008 Ford sedan at 2:20 a.m. Thursday on K-15 south of 140th Road.
