These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

US-50 west of Pawnee Rd.

Saad Zamir, 29, Wichita, hit a deer at 10:45 p.m. June 21 with a 2023 Toyota RAV4 owned by EAN Holdings of Tulsa, according to an accident report released Friday.

The sport utility vehicle, in which Laiba Sajjad, 28, of the same address was a passenger, sustained disabling damage to its front and hood and was towed.

US-56/77 north of 350th Rd.

A pickup truck turning left into a driveway collided with a second pickup trying to pass it and another vehicle at 1:27 p.m. June 23.

Deputy Aaron Christner’s report faulted both drivers. Turning driver Denise M. Bastin, 62, Junction City, was faulted for inattentive driving. Passing driver Calvin J. Templeton, 52, Halstead, was faulted for improper passing. No tickets were listed as being issued.

Both pickups — Bastin’s 2002 Dodge Ram 1500, owned by Deanre M. Gabriel of the same address, and Templeton’s 2011 Ram 1500 — remained drivable with damage to their left sides.

A passenger was riding in each pickup — Hailey C. Hurst, 23, Newton, in Templeton’s truck and Razor T. Jeffrey, 18, of the same Junction City address in Bastin’s truck.

K-15 north of 170th Rd.

Timothy L. Goossen, 60, rural Hillsboro, hit a deer at 6:45 a.m. June 24 with his 2003 Dodge Ram 2500, which remained drivable with damage to its left front.

K-150 east of Zebulon Rd.

Isaiah A. Moyer, 22, McPherson, hit a deer at 9:30 p.m. June 24 with this 2013 Ford F-250.

The pickup, in which Dawson R. Shelter, 22, Salina, also was riding, remained drivable with damage along its right side.

K-15 south of US-56

Marie E. Crupper, 48, Parkville, Missouri, hit a deer at 11:53 p.m. June 24 with a 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII owned by passenger Jason M. Crupper of the same address.

The car remained drivable with damage to its front, hood, and right side.

150th Rd. west of Falcon Rd.

Billie Jean Goossen, 73, rural Hillsboro, hit a deer at 9 p.m. June 25 with her 2017 Dodge Caravan, which sustained damage characterized as minor to its front and hood.

Cottonwood Point, Marion Reservoir

Not allowing enough room to make a turn, John V. Stuart, 71, Dodge City, brushed a gate post at 2:32 p.m. June 26 with a camper trailer he was pulling behind his 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

No damages were reported.
