WEDDING:   Banman, Quinones

Allison Banman of Goessel and Albino Quinones III of San Antonio, Texas were married on July 28, 2012. The wedding ceremony was at Iglesia Menonita Luz Del Evangelio in Dallas, Texas. This is a sister church to Allison’s home congregation, Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in Goessel. The ceremony was performed by Juan Limones of Luz Del Evangelio and Linda Ewert of Alexanderwohl Mennonite.

Parents are Steve and Sandy Banman of Goessel and Albino and Martha Quinones Jr. of San Antonio. Allison’s grandparents are Merlin and Velma Hiebert of Goessel, Jim Banman and Judy Coover of Denver, Colo., and Mary Banman of Asheville, N.C. Albino’s grandparents are Manuela and Albert Cortez of San Antonio and Josefina Quinones of San Antonio.

The maid of honor was Bianca Limones of Dallas. Bridesmaids were Becky Cooke of Louisville, Ky., and Whitney Fast of Moundridge. Best man was Christopher Bennett of San Antonio. Groomsmen were David Plata of San Antonio and Ben Santos of Kansas City, Mo. The flower girl was Aliya DeLeon, niece of the groom, from San Antonio.

Piano music was provided by Karen Unruh of Goessel, and Kyle Unruh of Kansas City, Kan., was the soloist. Nita Nikkel of Wichita read scripture. Candles were lit by the groom’s sisters, Charisma Quinones and Kelly Quinones, both of San Antonio. Ushers were Craig Banman of Goessel, brother of the bride, Garrett Hiebert, Newton, and Weston Hiebert, Goessel, both cousins of the bride, and Anthony DeLeon, San Antonio, friend of the couple.

A reception followed the ceremony. For those who could not attend the ceremony in Dallas, there was a reception held in Goessel on Aug. 11 and one in San Antonio on Aug. 18.

Allison and Albino took a honeymoon trip to Charleston, S.C.. They are currently living in Austin, Texas.

Allison is a 2006 graduate of Goessel High School and a 2010 graduate of Bethel College with a bachelor’s degree in social work. Albino is a 2005 graduate of South San Antonio High School and a 2010 graduate of Bethel College with a bachelor’s degree in social work. Allison is currently a student in the masters of social work program at Texas State University in San Marcos. Albino is an XY Zone Coordinator at Eastside Memorial High School in Austin. This is a program of Communities in Schools of Central Texas.
