This information was the most current on file in criminal division of Marion County District Court as of May 24. Information often is not available until more than a week after hearings. Journal entries must be checked by the defense, prosecution, and judge before they are filed.

Rebecca Alline Almond, 309 N. Lincoln, Hillsboro; charges of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct dismissed without prejudice April 23 pursuant to a plea agreement in another case.

Ryan Schierling, 105 Marion, Lehigh; hearing held April 23 on charges of aggravated assault and domestic battery; jury trial scheduled for Aug. 16 and 17.

Cynthia Kay Taylor, 208 N. 4th, Marion; sentenced April 23 on convictions of possession of oxycodone, possession of an hallucinogenic drug (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia; given 11 month prison term underlying 18 months of probation with community corrections; ordered to pay $195 court costs, $200 DNA database fee, $400 KBI lab fee, $120 correctional supervision fee, $675 court-appointed attorney’s fees, $45 booking fee, $300 SB 123 Offender Reimbursement Fee; ordered to stay out of businesses whose main source of revenue is sale of alcohol; must submit to random drug and alcohol testing.

Shelby Cheyenne Percell, 17 Random Road, Marion; arraigned May 15 on a charge of misdemeanor theft; waived formal arraignment and pleaded no-contest; sentencing scheduled for June 13.

Shelby Cheyenne Percell, 17 Random Road, Marion; arraigned May 15 on a charge of minor in consumption of alcohol; pleaded innocent; bench trial scheduled for July 10.

Dawnyele N. Reynolds, 102 W. Santa Fe Apt. 3, Marion; pleaded guilty May 9 to attempted misdemeanor theft; given a 90-day controlling jail term with 12 months supervised probation, ordered to serve 96 hours in jail; must submit to random drug and alcohol testing and write a letter of apology to Donald and Regina Vinduska; ordered to pay $138 court costs, $60 probation fee, $45 booking fee, and $15 restitution.

Dawnyele N. Reynolds, 102 W. Santa Fe Apt. 3, Marion; sentenced May 9 on a conviction of hosting minors consuming alcoholic liquor of cereal malt beverages; given six month controlling jail term with 12 months supervised probation; ordered to serve 96 hours in jail; ordered to have no unsupervised contact with minors and to have no contact with Christian Czarnowsky, Andrianne Marshall, or Justin Loomis.

Phillip L. Stegeman, 901 S. Kansas Ave., Newton; sentenced May 9 on a conviction of criminal trespass; given 90-day controlling jail term with 12 months supervised probation; must pay $138 costs, $22 surcharge, $60 probation fee, and $45 booking fee; ordered to have no contact with victim Alicia Stone; ordered to stay out of businesses whose main source of revenue is sale of alcohol; must submit to random drug and alcohol testing.

Dustin Dean Altum, 905 E. 8th, Newton; diversion agreement filed on a charge of domestic battery; ordered to obtain an anger management evaluation; pay $125 diversion fee, $138 court costs, and $22 surcharge; if diversion completed in six months, charge will be dismissed.

Lucas D. Hoskinson, 708 E. 8th, Newton; bond appearance held May 15 on charges of aggravated escape from custody, vehicle burglary, misdemeanor theft, criminal deprivation of property, criminal trespass, and criminal damage to property; arraignment scheduled for June 13.

Schuyler Grant Hulett, 122 W. 5th St., Florence; arraignment continued from May 15 to June 20 on charges of possession of an hallucinogenic drug (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Traffic

Curtis J. Curry, 914 S. Elm, McPherson; arraigned April 18 on motion to revoke probation, denied allegations, hearing scheduled for May 16.

Christian L. Czarnowsky, Marion; April 23 hearing continued to May 7 on a charge of possession of tobacco.

Tommy Lee Mitchell, 317 N. Ash St., Hillsboro; pleaded guilty May 9 to driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and transporting liquor in an open container; sentencing scheduled for July 23.

Ricky M. Rogers, 3370 Vista, Lost Springs; sentenced May 9 on a conviction of driving while license suspended; given 30 days controlling sentence in jail with six months unsupervised probation; ordered to pay $250 fine, $76 court costs, and $22 surcharge.

Paul J. Brady; 414 S. Central Ave., Mulvane; hearing continued from May 16 to July 18.

Jamie S. Holland, 1008 Highway 18, Abilene; bond appearance continued from May 16 to June 20 on charges of driving while license suspended, no proof of liability insurance, and transporting liquor in an open container.
