Criminal cases

This information was the most current on file in criminal division of Marion County District Court as of May 17. Information often is not available until more than a week after hearings. Journal entries must be checked by the defense, prosecution, and judge before they are filed.

Cody L. Fistler, 785 Old Mill Road, Peabody; waived preliminary hearing April 18; bound over on a charge of possession of methamphetamines; also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Preliminary hearing continued from April 17 to June 5 on a charge of possession of stolen property.

Wesley James Kelley, Lawrence; preliminary hearing continued from April 17 to May 1 on charges of possession of stolen property and driving while license canceled, suspended, or revoked.

Natasha Leanna McKay, 734 S. Elm St., Ottawa; preliminary hearing continued from May 1 to June 5 on charges of possession of methamphetamines, possession of an hallucinogenic drug (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Andrew Logan Meier, 211 E. Maria, Lehigh; waived preliminary hearing May 1; bound over on charges of non-residential burglary and felony theft; also charged with criminal trespass and five counts misdemeanor theft; arraignment set for May 20; ordered to submit to drug and alcohol testing.

Mathew Charles Mickey, 313 N. Madison St., Hillsboro; hearing on motion to revoke probation continued from April 22 to May 20; stipulated May 8 to probation violation; ordered to serve 10 days in jail, followed by 12 months probation; allowed work release. Pleaded no contest May 8 to a charge of misdemeanor theft; sentenced to 90-day controlling jail term underlying 12 months probation; ordered to serve five days in jail, complete a drug and alcohol evaluation, submit to drug and alcohol testing, and pay $247; prohibited from entering R&D Liquor Store in Hillsboro. Stipulated May 8 to probation violation; ordered to serve 10 days in jail followed by 12 months probation; work release allowed.

Billy Joe Prater Jr., 420 N. Lincoln St., Marion; pleaded no contest April 1 to a charge of aggravated indecent liberties with a child; sentencing set for May 14.

Oceana Scobee, 1021 S. Cottonwood, Ottawa; waived preliminary hearing May 1; bound over on a charge of possession of methamphetamines; also charged with possession of an hallucinogenic drug (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia; arraignment set for May 20; ordered to submit to drug and alcohol testing.
