Democratic Women apply for food bank grant

Marion County Democratic Women met Friday at Marion Senior Center. Former members Jane Vajnar and Madonna Schafers were guests. Sue Clough conducted the business meeting.

The organization will apply for a Kathleen Sebelius Community Service Project Grant for its work with Marion County Emergency Food Bank.

The district meeting is April 6 in Junction City. Eileen Sieger and Janet Bryant plan to attend.

Sieger reported on conference calls she participated in as Marion County Democratic Party chair.

A musical group will be contacted to perform for Kansas Day 2014.
