Don Mize, 95, died Jan. 27, 2012, at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro. He was born Feb. 23, 1916, to Paul and Mable (Mulkey) Mize in Topeka.

He was a watchmaker and jeweler and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hillsboro.

He married Joyce Rice on Sept. 8, 1943, at Alma. She preceded him in death in 2007.

He is survived by a son, Frank Mize of Wichita; a daughter, Jacquelyn Baker of New York City; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Brett Heubner officiating. Burial was in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial funds will go to the church.
