The family of Harding and Kathy (Befus) Duerksen will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 31 at Grace Community Church, 1600 S. Anderson Rd., Newton.

The Duerksens were married July 30, 1965, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and reside in rural Goessel. They have three children and 12 grandchildren.
