Ellen E. Darrow

MARION — Ellen E. Darrow, 93, passed away Nov. 12, 2012, at her residence. She was born near Marion, Dec. 15, 1918, the daughter of John and Rena Conyers Hett.

On Jan. 1, 1942, she was united in marriage to Lloyd L. Darrow. She was co-owner and bookkeeper of Aulne Grain.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Darrow; a son, Eric Darrow; grandson, Corey Darrow; and eight siblings, Iva Unruh, Ron, Walt, Ern, Russ, Tom, John, and Edith Hett.

She is survived by two sons, Jim and wife Kaye Darrow and Bill and wife Debbi Darrow, all of Marion; a brother, Jim and wife Carol Hett of Marion; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Jackie Hett and Betty Darrow Mull both of Marion.

Visitation with family will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion. Funeral service will be at 11a.m., Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Aulne United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Marion Cemetery. Memorial funds have been established for Aulne United Methodist Church, Marion City Library, or Marion County Home Care in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS 66861.
