Emergency dispatches

These dispatches were made by the Marion County Communications Department:

OCT. 9

9:10 a.m. — Marion Fire Department, Marion rescue, and Marion ambulance were dispatched to a one-vehicle accident east of the intersection of U.S. 56 and Eisenhower Road. The driver, a male with a diabetic reaction, was transported to St. Luke Hospital.

2:39 p.m. — A girl in her teens who passed out at Hillsboro High School was transported by Hillsboro ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital.

3:09 p.m. — A woman in her 80s with chest pains in the 400 block of West Santa Fe Street was transported by Marion ambulance to St. Luke.

10:07 p.m. — Hillsboro Fire Department was dispatched for a fire alarm at Country Haven Inn. No fire was discovered and the alarm was reset.

Oct. 10

9:42 a.m. — Peabody Fire Department and Peabody ambulance responded to a ceiling fire at Sammie Jo’s Restaurant.

3:06 p.m. — A person with knee pain at Peabody Care Center was transported by Peabody ambulance to St. Luke.

3:10 p.m. — A man in his 80s with seizures in the 1900 block of 300th Road was transported by Tampa ambulance to Herington Municipal Hospital. Lincolnville first responders assisted on the call.

3:53 p.m. — A woman in her 80s feeling ill in the 1200 block of 175th Road was transported by Hillsboro ambulance to HCH.

Thursday

8:16 a.m. — Marion Fire Department responded to a residential smoke alarm in the block of 100 block of North Roosevelt Street. No smoke or fire was present, and the alarm was reset.

1:20 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance responded to U.S. 56 and K-15 north for a man laying beside the road. No transportation was provided.

3:57 p.m. — Marion ambulance responded to the shower house at Cottonwood Point at Marion Reservoir for a woman who fell. No transportation was provided.

Friday

2:47 p.m. — A man with a fever in the 400 block of Locust Street was transported by Peabody ambulance to Newton Medical Center.

4:42 p.m. — Goessel Fire Department responded to a cottonwood tree fire 1.5 miles south of U.S. 56 on K-15.

5:24 p.m. — Hillsboro Fire Department responded to a tree on fire in the 2200 block of K-15.

Saturday

12:35 a.m. — Goessel Fire Department returned to the scene of Friday’s cottonwood tree fire for an inspection.

9:02 p.m. — A person with unspecified injuries who was assaulted in the 100 block of West Santa Fe Street was transported by Marion ambulance to St. Luke.

Sunday

9:24 a.m. — Marion Fire Department, Marion rescue, and Marion ambulance responded to a one-vehicle rollover accident one-half mile south of 190th Road on U.S. 77. No transportation was provided.

1:10 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance provided emergency transfer of a patient at HCH to Wesley Medical Center.

4:13 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance provided emergency transfer of a patient to Via Christi-St. Francis.

8:38 p.m. — A woman in her 40s with chest pains at Peabody Care Center was transported by Peabody ambulance to Newton Medical Center.

Monday

2:11 a.m. — A male with a history of heart problems in the 300 block of South Floral Street was transported by Hillsboro ambulance to HCH. Hillsboro Fire Department provided lifting assistance.
