7:26 a.m. — After 20 minutes of investigation, Peabody firefighters could not verify a motorist’s report of an odor indicating a natural gas leak near 90th and Sunflower Rds.

9:01 a.m. — A 69-year-old woman who fell the night before at a home in the 500 block of N. Cedar St. in Marion was taken to St. Luke Hospital, Marion, by Marion ambulance.

2:41 p.m. — An intentional grass fire that grew out of control near 120th and Chisholm Trail Rds. was contained within 15 minutes by Goessel firefighters.

2:47 p.m. — A 71-year-old man was transferred by Marion ambulance from St. Luke to Ascension Via Christi St. Teresa Hospital, Wichita. The ambulance returned to Marion at 6:15 p.m.

8:15 p.m. — Goessel firefighters spent 50 minutes battling a grass fire near Cheyenne Rd. and 27th Ave. in McPherson County.

THURSDAY

FRIDAY

8:05 a.m. — A 58-year-old man with body aches and chills at Salem Home in Hillsboro was taken to Hillsboro Community Hospital by Hillsboro ambulance.

12:50 p.m. — A shed fire at a farm near 210th and Alamo Rds. was extinguished within 30 minutes by Hillsboro, Goessel, and Lehigh firefighters, some of whom remained for 45 additional minutes to mop up. Peabody and Canton firefighters also were paged but were told to stand down before they arrived.

3:37 p.m. — An HCH patient was transferred by Marion ambulance to NMC Health, formerly Newton Medical Center.

8:17 p.m. — A 72-year-old man was transferred by Hillsboro ambulance from St. Luke to cardiac intensive care at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital, Wichita. The ambulance returned to Hillsboro at 11:36 p.m.

SATURDAY

10:32 a.m. — A 100-year-old man drifting in and out of consciousness at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro was taken to HCH by Hillsboro ambulance.

2:32 p.m. — Peabody firefighters spent 30 minutes helping bring back under control an intentional grass fire near NE 60th St. and N. Harvest Hill Rd. in Harvey County.

5:35 p.m. — A 47-year-old woman at with sharp chest pains at a home on Navajo Rd. in Canada declined to be taken to a hospital by Marion ambulance, but the ambulance followed her as she rode to the hospital in a private vehicle.

SUNDAY

5:29 a.m. — A 70-year-old man with an obstructed bowel was transferred by Marion ambulance from St. Luke to NMC Health. The ambulance returned to Marion at 7:42 a.m.

12:45 p.m. — An 84-year-old woman who may have suffered a stroke at a farmhouse near 100th and Pawnee Rds. was taken to NMC Health by Marion ambulance. The ambulance returned to Marion at 3:06 p.m.

5:20 p.m. — A grass fire at 120th and Goldenrod Rds. was contained after a little more than an hour by Goessel firefighters.

6:04 p.m. — A 62-year-old man with a dislocated shoulder at a mobile home park on E. Marion St. in Goessel was taken to NMC Health by Hillsboro ambulance. The ambulance returned to Hillsboro at 8:35 p.m.

MONDAY

2:29 a.m. — An 87-year-old woman with high blood pressure and dizziness was transferred by Hillsboro ambulance from Salem Home to HCH.

5:16 a.m. — A confused, unresponsive 49-year-old diabetic woman was taken by Tampa ambulance to HCH from a farmhouse near 330th and Diamond Rds. Durham first responders were paged but not available.

10:07 a.m. — A 91-year-old woman in the 300 block of W. 11th St. in Florence was taken by Marion ambulance to NMC Health after a medical alarm was activated on her behalf. The ambulance returned to Marion at 11:53 a.m.

8:39 p.m. — A 5-year-old boy with an elevated count of white blood cells was transferred by Hillsboro ambulance from HCH to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. The ambulance returned to Hillsboro at 10:48 p.m.
