NORTHWEST OF DURHAM:   Families gather for Easter

About 50 members of the Harry Wedel family congregated Easter Sunday at the Sugar Creek School near Galva. Those attending from Marion County were the Harry Rhodes family, Darrel Rhodes family, and Lela Wedel.

Ron and Dora Unruh and Mark and Barb Unruh traveled to Goessel on Sunday for a Duerksen Easter potluck gathering hosted by the Milt Duerksen family.

Clayton and Betty Wiebe had Loretta Wiebe, Wayne and Lora Lee Wiebe and family, and Travis and Sharon Koehn and family as Sunday dinner guests to mark Loretta’s return to Kansas.

Larry and Wanda Koehn hosted a family supper Thursday to celebrate the birthdays of Dalton Wiebe and Travis Koehn. Travis turned 40. Guests were Leonard and Dianne Peachy and family, the Travis Koehn family, the Dalton Wiebe family, Amy Koehn, and Titus and Chelsea Koehn.

Merlin and Karletta Wiebe hosted an Easter Sunday fellowship dinner at their home. Those in attendance were Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Mark and Kris Wiebe and Kayla and Luke, Jasper and Joni Zeiset, Jason and Sherri Wiebe and family, Aaron and Janessa Herbel, Bryan and Rebecca Thomas and family, and Anthony Wiebe and Tylan and Jamie.

Sarah Unruh spent the weekend with her parents Mark and Barb. Sarah brought her roommate Andrea Kelly as an Easter weekend guest.

Dalton and Lorna Wiebe hosted Easter dinner for Larry and Wanda Koehn, Howard and Iris Eck and Kara Havilland, the Aaron Yost family of Greensburg, Tim and Chelsea Koehn, and Lena Koehn and Margie Jantz of Newton.

Roy and Nadine Davis spent Easter weekend in Cantril, Iowa, visiting Hiram and Rhonda Wedel. They did some sightseeing in Amish communities Saturday.
