Among those attending Jordan Wiebe and Katie Schmidt’s wedding Sunday in DeRidder, Louisiana, were Clayton and Betty Wiebe and Lorettta, the Travis Koehn family, the Nelson Wiebe family, and the Wayne Wiebe family The couple will make their home in rural Durham.

Also traveling to a wedding Sunday were Roy and Nadine Davis and Hiram and Rhonda Wedel and Brayden. They attended the wedding in Halstead of their relative, Eldean Friesen of Brookston, Texas, to Danielle Leid. The Wedels left for their home in Iowa after the wedding.

Ransom and Lillian Wiebe went to Versailles, Missouri, to attend the wedding Sunday of Mark Schmidt and Loralee Schultz. Jason and Sheri Wiebe and girls also attended. Mark is a grandson of Lillian’s sister, Anita.

A large crowd attended a light supper and concert at Durham Park by Cottonwood Grove Band.

Newt and Maria Jantz and Gavin arrived Sunday at the Wendell Wedel home to visit relatives and friends.

Weekend guests in the home of Roy and Nadine Davis were Hiram and Rhonda Wedel and Brayden from Iowa and Larry and Eileen Schmidt and Kasey from Mississippi. They and Dalton and Lorna Wiebe and family and Gary and Crystal Davis, Carly and Rylan had a picnic Saturday at the Hillsboro park.

Harry and Sheryle Rhodes and Darrin and Meri Kay Rhodes and family took Sunday dinner to the home of Lela Wedel.
