Ferne Hiebert, 87, died April 19 at Pine Village in Moundridge.

A funeral service was Friday at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church. Interment followed at Hillsboro M.B. Cemetery.

She was born Sept. 8, 1928, to George and Sarah (Goertzen) Kornelsen in Henderson, Nebraska.

She married Clarence Hiebert Sept. 1, 1950, in Hillsboro.

Survivors include sons, Tim Hiebert of Cheney and Bob Hiebert of Forest, Illinois; daughters, Beth Klassen of Hillsboro and Sue Scheer of Norwood, Ohio; sister, Janice Jost of Henderson; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Clarence in 2005.
