Florence infant dies from flu

A Florence family is mourning the sudden loss of 1-year-old daughter, Danyella Caitlin, who died in her sleep Sunday from complications of influenza and pneumonia.

The parents have set up an online fundraiser to help cover the funeral expenses.

“Debby was always full of life, lighting up every room with her smile and laughter,” the fundraiser pager reads. “She loved playing in her jumpy jumper, wrestling, playing with her mirror reflection, making faces, and anything she could get her mom to do.

“We are reaching out to our community for help so we can give Debby the loving farewell she deserves and find some stability as we begin to heal”.
