Marvin and Elfrieda Funk will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary from 2 to 5 p.m. March 30 at First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro.
They met at Camp Mennoscah, and they married on March 29, 1953, at Goessel Mennonite Church after Bethel Church in Inman was destroyed by fire.
They made their home on the farm near Goessel. Marvin worked for and retired from Tabor College. Elfrieda worked for and retired from Parkside Homes.
They have two children, Deborah and Merle; three grandchildren, Christopher, Jeremy, and Danielle; and four great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Braxton, and the late Mason and Madison.
They live at home in Hillsboro and are active in church activities, volunteer activities, and Lions Club International.
