With 14 teams competing for medals at Tescott on May 6, the Goessel girls managed to earn sixth place.

Sophie Freuler earned third place in both the 800-meter run and the 1,600-meter run. Marlene Fritzche and Jennifer Meysing also scored points in the 1,600-meter run to account for 20 percent of the team points from one event.

Olivia Duerksen tied for second in high jump and place fifth in long jump. Rylee Jarvis had a good day with a fifth place finish in the discus and a fourth place in pole vault, the first meet this season in which she competed in this event.

The 4x100 and 4x400-meter relay teams set new marks for the season and fifth and third place respectively. Goessel hosts the Wheat State League meet on Thursday and then participates in the Regional Track Meet at Burlington on May 23.
