Every month the faculty and staff of Hillsboro High School recognize one boy and one girl as students of the month. Students chosen for the month of May are Allison Weber and Reece Berens.

Weber is a member of the tennis, basketball, and softball teams. She is also a member of book club, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, 4-H, and yearbook staff.

In her free time Weber enjoys baby-sitting, reading, spending time with friends, and coaching.

She plans to major in elementary education and early childhood education this fall. Connie and Eddie Weber are her parents.

Berens is the son of Greg and Michele Berens. He is involved in forensics, Technology Students Association, scholars’ bowl, was a football team manager and videographer for multiple sporting events, and 4-H.

Berens enjoys reading, playing video games, and hanging out with friends and family in his free time.

He plans to attend college and major in computer programming.
