Hillsboro High School selects students of the month

Hillsboro High School has selected Kennedy Klein, Jesse Meier, Kalen Moss, and Morganne Hamm as students of the month for November.

Kennedy is the daughter of Kevin and Kathy Klein. She is a member of youth group, participated in the fall musical “Cinderella,” and is a member of the volleyball, track, and cheerleading teams. She is also a member of Big Brothers and Big Sisters and plays in the pep band.

She enjoys playing flute, reading, baby-sitting, hunting, art, and being a prekindergarten Sunday school teacher.

Kennedy said she plans to attend college but has not decided on a major.

Jesse is the son on Jon and Jill Meier. He is a member of the football and wrestling teams. He also participates in spring weightlifting, FFA, Lutheran Youth Fellowship, and is a 4-H club member.

He plans attend Fort Hays State University for an associate, then major in mechanical engineering at Kansas State University.

Kalen Moss is the daughter of Stephanie and Rusty Moss. This year she participated in volleyball and plans to play softball. She also is a member of the Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethern Church youth group, scholars bowl, chess club, forensics, and helped with the fall musical.

In her free time, Kalen enjoys reading and researching for a National History Day display she is working on.

After graduation, Kalen plans to attend University of Kansas and study law.

Morganne is the daughter of Jim and Myrna Hamm.

She participates in cross-country, track, FFA, H-Club, National Honor Society, 4-H, student council, takes catechism classes, and is the senior class president.

In her free time, Morganne enjoys spending time with her family and friend and loves to bake, sew, read books, and watch movies.

She plans on going to college at Kansas State and major in elementary education.
