Aug. 5
Curfew violations were reported in the 300 block of South Main Street. Two juvenile girls were seen entering an unlocked vehicle.
Aug. 6
A vandalism complaint was reported in the 200 block of North Main Street; a person entered the Post Office lobby overnight and caused damage to literature and signs; the police department has identified at least one person of interest and the investigation is ongoing.
Aug. 9
An animal complaint was filed in the 200 block of South Madison Street. A person said he had a hawk in his back yard.
Aug. 10
Officers assisted Marion County Sheriff with reports of gunfire at Marion Reservoir.
