Louise Janzen

Services for former Florence resident Louise Janzen, 98, were Wednesday at Marion Christian Church.

Janzen died Friday at Marion.

She was born Oct. 1, 1919, at Roxbury, to Charles and Elizabeth (Smith) Anderson. She graduated from Peabody High School in 1936.

She married W.H. “Bill” Janzen in 1939. They farmed in the Florence area and she worked for Kansas Social Services.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill in 2011.

She is survived by son Ed Janzen of Fargo, North Dakota; daughters Jean Knoll of Wichita and Donna Linaman of Poulsbo, Washington; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.
