Many from this community attended the memorial service for Darlene Unruh on Oct 9. Burial was at Peace Valley cemetery with the service in Hillsboro. Darlene and Leonard were lifetime residents of this community until Darlene moved to Hillsboro in 1995. Sympathy is extended to the family.
Clayton and Betty Wiebe went to Montezuma on Oct. 11 to attend an Unruh reunion. All enjoyed a potluck dinner and visiting with relatives.
The Nelson Wiebe family and Aryin and Kalynda Wiebe flew to Georgia for the wedding of Charles Hiebert on Oct. 12. Charles is a nephew of Bev Wiebe. Charles grew up in this community and is the son of Terry and Barb Hiebert, now from Pecos, Texas.
Rawlin Nightingale from Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, was an Oct. 9 overnight guest of Ransom and Lillian Wiebe.
There was a basket dinner Oct. 12 at Cottonwood Grove School for Jantz cousins in honor of Karen Jantz from New Plymouth, Idaho. The families of Leia Wedel, Madeline Jantz, the late Amanda Wedel, and cousin Dale Jantz were in attendance.
