Marian Crofoot

Marian Lucille Crofoot, 86, died Saturday at her home in Marion. She was born March 8, 1928, in Holton to John and Ruth Voekel Hurst.

She spent her early years in Holton and Ness City, where she graduated from high school.

She married John Crofoot on Feb. 15, 1948, in Cedar Point. Together they built Western Associates advertising specialties company. They had three children, Dave, Jim, and Pam.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1988.

She is survived by a daughter, Pam Bowers of Marion; two sons, Dave and Jim Crofoot, both of Marion; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Eastmoor United Methodist Church in Marion. Interment will follow at Marion Cemetery.

Visitation was Tuesday at Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion.

Memorial funds have been established with the church and St. Luke Hospital.
