Oct. 15: Officers assisted Marion County jailers with a combative inmate and an inmate attempting to commit suicide. A suspicious person was checked at the former Arlie’s Paint, Body, and Glass building.
Oct. 16: Officers took a complaint of disorderly conduct and reckless driving. A report was taken for suspicious activity involving a juvenile and reckless driving.
Oct. 17: Officers conducted a follow up investigation on possible juvenile bullying. A welfare checked was performed on a juvenile male at Marion Elementary School.
Oct. 18: A suspicious person was reported at a local business. Officers provided traffic control for a downed power line near Marion High School. A report of a possible burglary in an unoccupied residence was taken. Officers assisted Marion County Sheriff’s Office with an inmate at St. Luke Hospital.
Oct. 19: Officers checked on a reckless driver coming into town but was not able to locate the driver.
Oct. 20: A report of possible harassment with a golf cart was taken. When walking alley between Cedar and Roosevelt, officers caught children playing with matches; they were sent home with nothing to light on fire.
Oct. 21: A report of domestic battery was taken. A report of assault and disorderly conduct was taken.
Oct. 23: Officers responded to a report of an uncooperative juvenile in Central Park.
Oct. 24: Officers assisted Sheriff’s office with a cow out east of Marion on K-256. A criminal damage report was taken. Officers responded to a four-wheeler complaint in the Industrial Park. An individual was arrested on a Franklin County Warrant. Officers responded to a vehicle accident in the St. Luke parking lot but no accident report was required.
Oct. 26: A harassment report was taken. Officers responded to two non-injury accidents. Officers took a report of sexting. Officers responded to a report of a possible burglary in progress; when suspect was located, it was found to be a misunderstanding. Officers responded to a report of a man with dementia; the man stated someone was trying to cut off his head; the officers convinced him he was safe.
Oct. 27: Officers responded to an alarm for a downtown business; it was a malfunction.
Oct. 28: Officers assisted Marion County Sheriff’s Office with a multiple injury rollover accident.
