Mary Ann Strecker

Mary Ann Strecker, 79, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at Lexington Park Assisted Living.

Mary Ann was born Nov. 28, 1937, in Tampa, Kansas, the daughter of George and Emma Oborny Bina. On May 21, 1966, Mary Ann Bina and Paul V. Strecker were married at Holy Family Parish, St. John Nepomucene Church in Pilsen.

Mary Ann worked for Topeka Wholesale Drug, Kansas State Highway Commission, Providence Hospital, Kansas State Grain Inspection Department Warehouse Division, and Kansas State Department of Agriculture Grain Warehouse.

She was a member of Mater Dei Parish Assumption Church.

Mary Ann’s survivors include her daughter, Gemma White, and husband, Harland, of Topeka; son George Strecker and wife, Jackie, of Hoyt; sister Betty Patterson of Wichita; brother Larry Bina of Perry, Illinois; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul V. Strecker Jr.; a daughter, Becky Strecker; and a granddaughter, Melissa Dawn Crouch.

Funeral services were held in Topeka.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Grace Hospice and Most Pure Heart of Mary Ministry to the Aging, sent in care of Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, Topeka.
