Mary Ann Trumble Meysing

Mary Ann (Trumble) Meysing, 78, of Garden City died Sept. 28 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. She was born July 17, 1934, in Lincoln, Neb., to Paul Bernard and Mary Elizabeth (Yockel) Trumble.

She graduated from high school in 1952 in Denver, Colo. She entered the convent for 10 years and graduated from Sacred Heart College in 1963 with a degree in elementary education. She taught for 33 years.

She married Richard J. Meysing on July 20, 1968, in Wichita. They lived various places before settling in Garden City in 2002. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

She is survived by her husband, Richard J. Meysing of the home; a daughter, Mary Beth Kells of Garden City; two brothers, Paul Trumble of Denver, Colo., and Bill Trumble of Portland, Ore.; and a sister, Catherine Williamson of Denver, Colo. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Trumble.

Vigil service and Rosary were Oct. 5 in Garden City. Funeral Mass was Oct. 6 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City with Father Rene Labrado as Celebrant. Private family burial was at a later date.

A memorial fund has been established for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
