Taryn Renee Mayfield and Derek Alan Burgan were united in marriage June 7, in an outdoor ceremony at Eberly Farm in Wichita with Derek Mayfield, brother of the bride, officiating.

Parents of the couple are Dale and Lisa Mayfield of Hillsboro and Mike and Diane Burgan of St. John. Grandparents of the couple are Karon Hess of Marion, Gib and Kay Burgan of Moundridge, and Allen and Karlene Pauls of Hutchinson.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She wore a white and pewter slim line Maggie Sottero “Reece” gown with gossamer chiffon ruched toward an extraordinarily beaded, deep v-neckline. The high glamour encrusted halter straps transformed into a sensation bar back treatment.

The matron of honor was Lauryn Unruh, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Tessa Mayfield, sister-in-law of the bride, Mieka Serene, friend of the bride, and Brooke Burgan, sister of the groom.

The best man was Trey Burgan, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Travis Neidig, Ted Regehr, and Brett Williams, friends of the groom.

Flower girls were Jaleigh Burgan, niece of the groom, and Collyns Unruh, niece of the bride. Taten Mayfield, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

Ushers were Kale Arnold, Grady and Trevor Pauls, cousins of the groom, Bryce Garner, friend of the groom, and Corey Unruh, brother-in-law of the bride.

Guest book and gift attendants were Kassidi Luthi and Allie Faul, friends of the bride. Program attendants were Kori Arnold, cousin of the groom, and Macy, Kelli and Erika Hess, cousins of the bride.

Derek Mayfield, accompanying himself on guitar, provided special music during the ceremony.

Following the ceremony, a reception, with dinner and dance, was held inside Eberly Farm. Reception hosts and hostesses were Todd and Sandy Arnold, uncle and aunt of the groom, and Bryan and Melanie Ellison, uncle and aunt of the bride. Reception attendants were Angie McCarty and Jennifer Hess, aunts of the bride, Kristin Burgan, sister-in-law of the groom, Shannon Pauls, aunt of the groom, and Angela Albin, friend of the bride.

The rehearsal dinner, with the groom’s parents as hosts, was June 6 at the Fox and Hound Restaurant in Wichita.

The bride is a graduate of Hillsboro High School and attended Brown Mackie Veterinary Technical School in Salina. She is employed at McPherson Veterinary Clinic.

The groom is a graduate of St. John High School and Kansas State University. He is a finance manager at Midway Motors in McPherson.

The couple honeymooned in south Texas, and resides in McPherson.
