ROUND THE TOWN:   Monthly meeting of Baptist Kings' daughters held

A number of ladies from Hillsboro attended the monthly meeting Nov. 14 of Baptist Kings’ Daughters in Durham. Election of officers was held. Connie Wiens was elected president. The meeting was hosted by Donna Diener, assisted by Arlene Pankratz.

Pearl and Velma Hadley’s daughter, Jan Schmidt, and husband, Dan, from Salida, Colo., visited in Hillsboro Nov. 8 to 13. Jan and Velma spent four days in Oklahoma City attending the National Quarter Horse Show and toured museums and visited cousins. Dan spent time in St. Louis with his mother.

Carla Koslowsky, Carol Ollenburger, and Velma Hadley, members of the Hillsboro Community Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers Organization attended the Hospital Auxiliaries of Kansas annual convention Nov. 14 in Wichita.

Hannah Perry was breakfast guest Nov. 16 at Willis and Ruth Penner’s home.

Earl and Rita Warren of Sun City, Ariz., were recent guests at the home of Duwayne Miller.
