Tabor College announced 16 new faculty and staff appointments for the 2009-10 school year.
Groundskeeper Jeff Anenson has a Bachelor of Arts degree in health and physical education from Tabor. He has spent the past two years teaching physical education and social studies in Manokotak, Alaska.
Michael Ball is a maintenance trades generalist. He earned a bachelor’s degree in art education and master’s degree in technical education. He has worked for more than a decade, providing courses and continuing education workshops to operators of public water supply systems. His wife, Colleen, works in Tabor business office.
Daryl Bartel is a maintenance worker and has an associate degree in electronics. Most recently he worked at Ag Power in Hillsboro as service manager.
A new administrative assistant at Research for the Center for Mennonite Brethren Studies, Anita Boese recently retired as librarian at Hillsboro High School.
She is a volunteer with Friends of Hillsboro Museums. She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, a master’s degree in education, and a library science certification.
Mandi Brouillette is executive assistant to the provost. She graduated from Indiana University-South Bend with a degree in psychology. She was an assistant to the librarian for the past two years in Newton.
Sherry Edwards is a donor accountant and has a degree in business education and Master of Business Administration. She recently worked in the graduate office at Huron University.
Silas Hibbs works in financial aid and is an assistant soccer coach. He is a graduate of Tabor College with a degree in business administration.
Deonne Johnson is an assistant professor of nursing in the School of Adult Studies, Wichita. She has a master’s in nursing and taught at Northern Illinois University. She spent the past eight years teaching in the registered nurse program at Hutchinson Community College and was a level I coordinator and instructor at HCC.
Joyce Loewen is a teacher education coordinator. She graduated from Tabor College with a bachelor’s degree in education and earned a master’s degree, also in education. She recently was a teacher for USD 410.
Chief Information Officer Joy Mark holds a bachelor’s, master’s, and a Master of Library Science degrees. She recently worked at Asbury Theological Seminary in progressive positions in information services.
Brad Penn is department chair and associate professor of psychology. He holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology, a master’s in counseling psychology, and a bachelor’s degree in Bible, Christian education, and pastoral ministries. Previously he was head of the psychology department at Vennard College.
Dan Swaney is cross-country coach and academic assistance coordinator. He has an associate degree in liberal arts, a bachelor’s degree in history, and a master’s degree in education counseling. Previoulsy he was an assistant coach of men’s and women’s cross-country and track at Santiago Canyon College.
Kimberly Swaney is an instructor of social welfare. She has a bachelor’s degree in human development and counseling and a master’s in social work. Most recently she worked as a social worker at an adult day health care center.
Kirsten Watson is an assistant women’s basketball coach. She earned a bachelor’s degree in social welfare and psychology from Tabor.
Donna Wuest is an institutional research coordinator. She returns to Tabor to work in the Office of Continuous Improvement and Effectiveness as coordinator of institutional research and assessments.
She has an associate degree in office administration and previously worked in the admissions office.
Joe Wuest is assistant resident director. He earned a degree in organization communication at Tabor.
