Incumbents Byron McCarty and Brent Driggers, running uncontested races, were re-elected Tuesday to Hillsboro council seats.

McCarty received 33 votes in Ward 2, and Ward 1 voters cast 20 ballots for Driggers.

A five-person race for two Marion council seats had one clear-cut winner, Chris Costello, but eight provisional ballots waiting to be counted and certified at Monday’s commission meeting could swing the election to any of three other candidates.
