Labor Day weekend was a busy time. The wedding of Kalynda Koehn, daughter of Jarold and Rhonda Koehn, and Aryln Wiebe, son of Richard and Charlotte Wiebe, was Sept. 2 at Morning Star Church. Aryln’s sisters, Joseph and Brenda Johnson and family, and Orin and Rosalena Koehn and family were able to come, as well as many other relatives.

Ron and Dora Unruh’s granddaughter, Lisa Enns, married Matthew Stauffer on Sept. 2 in Seattle, Washi. Ron and Dora left early Aug. 31 with Lon and Deb Hiebert to fly to Seattle. Mark and Barb Unruh left by plane Aug. 27 to Idaho where they spent a few days visiting her family in Twin Falls before driving to Seattle. Jim and Brenda Enns, David and Ashley Enns, and Darren and Corina Enns, and Matt Hiebert also went. Everyone returned home by the evening of Sept. 4.

Roy and Nadine Davis left Sept. 2 for Cantril, Iowa, to visit Hiram and Rhonda Wedel. On Sept. 4, they went to Pella, Iowa, where Pella windows and Vermeer equipment are made and saw some of the machinery. They also toured the Dutch Village, which is set up like it would have been in the 1880s in Holland. There is a large windmill, which is used to grind flour at certain times. The Davises returned home Sept. 5.

Tim and Sheila Koehn and family left Sept. 3 for another two years of mission work in Zimbabwe.

The annual Isaac Wiebe family breakfast was Labor Day at the home of Doyle and Kara Wiebe. About 100 people were present.

Sheryl Rhodes was honored for her Sept. 4 birthday with a family picnic the evening of Labor Day at Maxwell Game Reserve. Guests were Harry and Sheryl Rhodes, Ken and Shelli Giesbrecht and Taylor, Darrin and Meri Kay Rhodes and family, Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family, and Terry and Robin Schultz and children, who have come to work at G&R Implement and are living in the Anthony Wiebe home in Roxbury.

Mr. Mrs. Michael Decker and family of Simla, Colo., Asena Brooks of Texline, Texas, and Larry and Eileen Schmidt of Michigan were houseguests of Roy and Nadine Davis while in town for the Koehn-Wiebe wedding.

Supper guests at the Ransom Wiebe home on Sept. 2 were Ed and Lou Mininger of Wisconsin, Lester and Christine Friesen of Mule Shoe, Texas, Clayton and Betty Wiebe, Tim Davis, Jeremiah and Heidi Bullock and children of Georgia, Ken and Sandy Wiebe, and Teresa Wiebe.

Supper guests of Larry and Wanda Koehn on Sept. 4 were Alan and Nancy Isaac and Jerry and Mary Koehn of Scooba, Miss.

The Clayton WIebe family had supper together Sept. 6 at the Wiebe home in honor of Clayton’s birthday.

Ransom and Lillian Wiebe invited Janessa Wiebe, Keela Smith, Chelsea Koehn, Mark and Kris Wiebe, Luke, Lance, and Kayla, Brian and Rebecca Thomas and children, and Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family to be their dinner guests.

Larry and Wanda Koehn, Ken and Sandy Wiebe, Merlin and Karletta Wiebe, Marcel and Wendy Unruh and family, and Teresa Wiebe were Sept. 9 dinner guests in the home of Doyle and Kara Wiebe.

Moundridge Manor had a resident family picnic Sept. 7, and Clayton and Betty Wiebe, Larry and Wanda Koehn, Warren and Jane Unruh, Stuart and Lea Isaac, Wendell and Linda Wedel, Louise Ratzlaff and Rayletta, and Jeff and Monica Ratzlaff and family attended the picnic.

Calla Wengar, her parents, Wane and Grace Wengar of Dalhart, Texas, Orlin and Bev Ensz, Eric, and Samara of Hillsboro, and Warren and Jane Unruh were Sept. 9 dinner guests in the home of Calvin Wiebe.

Having dinner Sept. 9 with Ruston and Lydia Dirks at their home were Clayton and Betty Wiebe, Terry and Robin Schultz and family, and Jarold and Rhonda Koehn and family.
