The City of Durham had a hamburger fry with trimmings and ice cream and cake Sept. 16 at the city park.

Dora Unruh was a guest Sept. 14 in the home of Hulda Schrag at Kidron Village in Newton. It was a get-together of the girls in her high school class of 1952. It was especially in honor of classmate Betty Goertz of Ohio, who was able to attend the class reunion in early August. Coffee and pie were served to the guests.

Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Clayton and Betty Wiebe, Bruce and Cheryl Dirks, Charlene Becker, and Calla Wengar visited Vera Dirks on Sept. 13 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.

Mark and Barb Unruh went Sept. 14 to Hesston to visit her brother Doug and Deb Stutzman from Pennsylvania. Their son and Barb’s nephew, Teal Stutzman, coaches the Haven team.

Roy and Nadine Davis, Bruce and Cheryl Dirks, Mitchell and Carol Unruh and family, and Aryln and Kalynda Wiebe were dinner guests in the home of Jarold and Rhonda Koehn.

Larry and Wanda Koehn, Quinton and Dianne Unruh, and Warren and Jane Unruh met Starla Harms of Montezuma on Sept. 15 in Great Bend for supper. They celebrated Warren’s belated birthday.

Morning Star Church had a farewell for Carlyn and Jackie Wiebe on Sept. 16 for their move to Hydro, Okla. The church also had a welcome for Terry and Robin Schultz and family from Georgia. He works for Harry Rhodes at G&R Implement.

Clayton and Betty Wiebe had Darrel and Donita Rhodes, Kendall and Susie Wiebe and Abigail, and Troy and Marla Wiebe and family as dinner guests on Sept. 16.

Lola Redger and her family went to Camp Y’Shua on Sept. 15 near Lawton, Okla., for their annual weekend family gathering of the Ed and Katie Nightingale family. Lola returned home Sept. 16.
