Cottonwood Grove Christian School had its program the evening of May 16. Eighth-graders included Jaron, Trevor, and ShayLynn. On May 18, the students, teachers, parents, and patrons had a basket dinner and play day together.
Former teacher Henry and Katie Koehn and Titus and Grace Stutzman of Hydro, Okla., attended the school program May 16. They were overnight guests of Roy and Nadine Davis.
Ron and Dora Unruh, Mark and Barb Unruh, Katelin, and Sarah, and Josh Hendricks attended graduation ceremonies May 18 in Hillsboro. Nathan Unruh, son of Warren and Anita Unruh, was one of the graduates. Later they all attended a reception for him at Trinity Mennonite Church.
Kenneth Wiebe, longtime resident of the area, died May 17. Memorial services were May 20 at Morning Star Church. Many relatives, friends, and neighbors were in attendance.
Ron and Dora Unruh attended the May 19 memorial service for Irv Schroeder at First Mennonite Church. Irv was Dora’s cousin.
Kyle Unruh was one of the Hillsboro Middle School students promoted from eighth grade on May 20. Warren and Anita Unruh had a reception in Kyle’s honor later. Attending were Ron and Dora Unruh and Mark and Barb Unruh, Katelin, and Sarah.
Ben and Pat Jantz of Detroit, Texas, and Stan and Violet Jantz of West Point, Miss., were overnight guests of Larry and Wanda Koehn the weekend of May 19.
