Eighteen members of Durham Senior Citizens met May 22 at the Durham Community Building for a potluck supper. Harmon and Joyce Medley were hosts. Special guests were Superintendent Steve Noble and his wife Gita, and family. Noble spoke to the group about activities pertaining to USD 410. Gayla Ratzlaff handed out survey papers.
Jasper and Joni Zeiset of Chickasha, Okla. came for memorial services for Ken Wiebe. They spent the week of May 20 visiting Mark and Kris Wiebe.
Harry and Sheryle Rhodes were dinner guests May 26 of Wayne and Loralee Wiebe.
The community extends its sympathy to the Warren and Anita Unruh family. Jerry Dalke died May 20, with memorial services on May 24.
Greg and Charlene Wedel hosted a birthday gathering May 22 for Caden’s ninth birthday. Joining them for a pizza picnic at a park in McPherson were Wendell and Linda Wedel, Dale and Kathy Jantz, Troy and Marla Wiebe and family, Travis and Connie Becker and family, and John and Ruthann Wells.
Mark and Kris Wiebe hosted an outdoors ticket supper May 21 to benefit the school. Their guests were Larry and Wanda Koehn and Tutus, Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family, Ken and Shelli Giesbrecht and Taylor, Heath and Tannis Dirks, Nelson and Bev Wiebe and family, and Aaron Herbel.
Rick and LaVae Koehn hosted a Memorial Day picnic supper at the home of Roy and Nadine Davis to celebrate the fourth birthday of their son, Zane. Other guests were Scott and Tami Koehn and family.
