Many residents attended the visitation and memorial service for Marcella Unruh on May 30 to 31 at the First Baptist Church in Durham. Unruh was a lifelong resident of the community until three years ago, when she moved to a retirement center in Salina.
Travis and Sharon Koehn and family and Dalton and Lorna Wiebe and family were June 2 supper guests of Larry and Wanda Koehn.
Roy and Nadine Davis, Clayton and Betty Wiebe, and Marcel and Wendy Unruh helped Tim Davis move June 1 from Newton to Grand Oaks apartments in Hillsboro. He was Roy and Nadine’s dinner guest the next day.
Wendell and Linda Wedel had dinner with her mother June 2 at Moundridge Manor.
Frank and Karen Unruh of Glen, Calif., recently spent time with Ransom and Lillian Wiebe. They also visited their daughter, Rebecca and Bryon Thomas and family. They all were June 2 dinner guests of Harry and Sheryle Rhodes.
Nathan Unruh was among Hillsboro FFA members who attended the State FFA Convention May 29 to 31 in Manhattan. He received several awards.
