According to offense reports released Friday:

SHERIFF

Theft

County Commission candidate Craig Dodd told deputies that six campaign signs, valued at $430 total, were stolen between Oct. 1 and 11 from his residence near 230th and Kanza Rds.

Criminal damage and theft

Three rural mailboxes were damaged and a fourth was stolen, probably around 9:50 p.m. Oct. 8, on Meridian and Alamo Rds. between 70th and 80th Rds.

Three residents reported the losses, estimated to total $280: Ricky Rupp, 47; Carol Becker, 50; and Ruben Klassen, 79.

Criminal damage

Sharon Schroeder, 67, of Hillsboro reported that a door to a residence she owns near US-56 and Kanza Rd. suffered $200 damage when someone attempted to force entry between noon and 4:20 p.m. Oct. 9.

Theft

Connie Freeborn, 63, of rural Florence told deputies that her wallet was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of W. 3rd St. in Florence.

Deputies reported that a thief forced the car open and took two credit cards, a debit card, a Social Security card, two insurance cards, and a memory card, together with the wallet valued at $40.
