Hillsboro Police

Sept. 2: Police took a report of a stolen Kindle reader from a vehicle parked in Hillsboro Heights. Officers also handled a report of suspicious activity in which a woman said her door was open but there were no signs of forced entry.

Sept. 3: Police handled three parking complaints, removed obstructions from the roadway, and responded to a possible missing person report in which people had been arguing and the missing person was later located.

Sept. 4: Officers took reports of an ATV driven within city limits, an abandoned vehicle, and a possible runaway juvenile. Police also responded to a report of possible domestic disturbance but no disturbance ever occurred.

Sept. 5: Police took reports of suspicious activity, an individual selling door-to-door without a permit, and an intoxicated person on campus at Tabor College. The individual could not be located.

Sept. 6: Police responded to a report of a reckless driver. Officers also provided traffic control for the fire department during an electrical fire at Tabor College.

Sept. 7: Officers handled two curfew violations, performed a welfare check, and responded to a criminal threat in which the individual said she had received threatening text messages from an ex-boyfriend. Police also were present while tenants collected property from past residences.

Sept. 8: Officers handled a report of an intoxicated individual who was yelling obscenities.

Sept. 9 Police took a complaint of an abandoned vehicle.

Peabody police

Sept. 2: Police assisted with a child custody issue.

Sept. 3: Officers took a report of trespassing. The case was resolved and no charges were filed.

Sept. 4: Police cited Omar Dolores for driving with no driver’s license. Officers began an investigation into a case of physical abuse of a dependant adult.

Sept. 5: Found property was returned to its owner. Police took an information report on a juvenile. A report of theft is under investigation.

Sept. 6: Police took a report of the theft of gasoline. Officers took an information report and assisted with a child custody exchange. Officers made an arrest for driving on a revoked license, but the investigation is not yet complete and charges have not been filed.

Sept. 8: Police arrested Uriel Sarmiento Ibarra, 24, of Wichita on a charge of driving while suspended.
