Police recover stolen items from Peabody HUB

Staff writer

Peabody Police Chief Bruce Burke has announced the recovery of three of the laptop computers stolen Oct. 9 from the HUB in Peabody.

“Information in the case has continued to be forthcoming,” Burke said. “Diligently following up on leads received in the case led to the recovery of the laptop computers.

“After evidentiary processing, the laptops will be returned to the HUB.”

“Also, the recovery of the stolen items gives us concrete evidence to be used when we prosecute the case,” he said. “At this point is just a matter of doing our due diligence to ensure we will get an arrest.”

Anyone with information regarding the HUB burglary or any other crime in Peabody is encouraged to contact Burke at (620) 983-2133 or visit the City of Peabody website at http://www.peabodyks.com to leave an anonymous tip.
