Hillsboro

June 14 — A child custody dispute in the 300 block of N. Main St., a parking complaint in the 400 block of S. Lincoln St., and a dog complaint in the 300 block of S. Ash St. were investigated.

June15 — A report of children riding bikes on a sand pile at Tabor College was investigated. A report of a pit bull in the 100 block of S. Birch St., a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of N. Main St., and a child custody dispute in the 400 block of N. Ash St were investigated.

June16 — A 911 disconnect in the 200 block of S. Washington St. was investigated. A person was fingerprinted for employment. A welfare check was performed at 2nd and Madison Sts. A suspicious vehicle was investigated on US-56.

June 17 — Police searched for a runaway juvenile in the 300 block of N. Ash St. A rat was reported being spotted next to a building in Hillsboro Heights; a business employee requested that the Humane Society remove it. There was a dog complaint at Main and 1st Sts. Suspicious activity was investigated in the 900 block of E. D St.

Thursday — An abandoned bicycle was recovered, debris was removed from the roadway in the 900 block of E. D St., and a report of a skunk near the ponds in Memorial Park was taken.

Friday — Several skunks were destroyed in Memorial Park. A report of a domestic disturbance in the 900 block of E. D St. turned out to be a verbal argument. There were two complaints of reckless driving, reports of a suspicious person and suspicious activity, a noise complaint, and a child custody dispute.

Saturday — An abandoned vehicle in the 100 block of S. Birch St. was investigated.

PEABODY

July 7 to 17 — Tires were slashed three times on a police car. A suspect and a person of interest have been identified. The case has been given to the Marion County Sheriff’s Department with Peabody Police assisting. The investigation is ongoing.

July 15 — Pool personnel reported criminal damage to two bicycles at Peabody Municipal Swimming Pool during pool hours. A person has been banned from the pool the rest of the season.

July 17 — Police investigated a case of criminal damage to a vehicle. An officer took an information report on a juvenile being in a chat room with a person in Canada and followed with a welfare check. It was determined the report was a hoax.

Thursday — Three extension cords were reported stolen from a Peabody residence.

Sunday — A vehicle that reportedly suffered criminal damage earlier in the week was damaged again.
