Sept. 11 — A report of a utility line down in the 200 block of W. B St., medical alarm in the 500 block of W. Grand St., and commercial alarm in the 100 block of N. Ash St. were investigated. A reckless driver on US-56 was investigated.

Sept. 12 — A report of a vehicle being stolen in Memorial Park was investigated; no victim was located nor did anyone report a vehicle as stolen. A non-injury accident on F St. was investigated. A warning was issued for operating an ATV on city streets.

Sept. 13 — Suspicious activity on Main St., a trespass complaint in the 400 block of N. Ash St., domestic disturbance in the 200 block of N. Lincoln St., and a report of a suspicious person in the 900 block of E. D St. were investigated.

Sept. 14 — A dog at large at Ash and Third Sts. was investigated.

Thursday — A report of a strange odor in the 200 block of S. Birch St. was investigated.

Friday — A report of a possible attempted break-in at Hillsboro Heights was investigated. Several parking complaints, a theft complaint in the 500 block of S. Main St., and suspicious activity in the 100 block of N. Adams St. were investigated. City streets were cleared, and officers assisted in setting up for Hillsboro Arts and Crafts Fair.

Saturday — Numerous parking complaints, a report of suspicious activity in the 300 block of S. Wilson St., and two 911 disconnects in the 200 and 300 block of W. B St. were investigated. A minor vehicle accident and a noise complaint in the 200 block of N. Washington St. were investigated.

Marion

Sept. 12 — A warning for speeding in a school zone near Locust and Main Sts. was issued. A non-injury accident in the 1200 block of E. Main St. and a report of a possible identity theft were investigated.

Sept. 13 — A report of a vehicle passing a school bus while its stop sign was out was investigated. A dog at large was transported to Animal Health Center. A report of a possible identity theft and a criminal trespass were investigated.

Sept. 14 — A report of an out-of-control juvenile was investigated. Traffic control was provided for a broken down vehicle at US-56/77 junction. Canine officer Legion was deployed during a traffic stop at request of the Sheriff’s department.

Thursday — A report of criminal damage to property in the 100 block of Elm St. was investigated.

Friday — Warnings for speeding, driving against restrictions, and window tint were issued during a traffic stop near Thorp and Main Sts.

Saturday — A report of a loud popping noise in the 400 block of S. Coble St. was investigated but no source of the sound was located. A foot patrol of Art in the Park was conducted. Parking complaints near Cedar and Main Sts. and in the 100 block of Elm St. were investigated. A non-injury accident in the 600 block of E. Main St. was investigated.

Sept. 13 — Police took an information report.

Thursday — Officers opened an investigation into a battery incident at 116 So. Olive St. that involved a juvenile. The case will be turned over to the Marion County attorney’s office.

Friday — Police investigated a burglary and theft at 116 S. Olive St. and a burglary and theft at 206 N. Olive St. The cases remain under investigation.
