Many from Hillsboro attended the annual Durham Baptist Church picnic Sunday evening at Durham Park. The specialty was homemade ice cream made by the Chisholms.
Funeral services were held for Jane Vajnar Aug. 20 at Durham Baptist Church. Jane lived in Tampa and was a former schoolteacher in Durham.
Many attended the fundraiser Friday evening at the Hillsboro Senior Center. The Cottonwood River Band provided the music. The band consists of DeLayne Herbel, Vince Jantz, Tim Diener, Richard Dirks, and Julie Jantz.
Gus Hamm was the honored guest at a family get together for his birthday. Family there were Marcella Mohn, Arlene Pankratz, Gaylord and Valera Hamm, Ken Pankratz, Jim and Merna Hamm and Morgan, Dave and Sharon Shrag and boys, and Tim and Donna Diener.
The Leonard and Hazel Hein family celebrated all family birthdays at their house on Sunday.
