Robert ‘Bob’ Echtenacher, 84, died Monday at Peabody Care Center, Peabody.

He was born April 26, 1928 in Chicago, Ill., the son of William and Rita Krueger Echtenacher.

He lived most of his life in California where he worked in the aircraft industry. Bob moved to Marion in 2002. He was a member of the Marion Christian Church and Kiwanis Club.

He married Sherrill Lanning on July 24, 2012. She survives. Other survivors are adopted sons and stepchildren.

There will be no service locally and Bob’s remains will be inurned in California.
