Ronald Rex Moore, 72, died Aug. 11 at his home in Newton. He was born Nov. 20, 1939, in Florence to Melvin and Daisy Moore.

He retired after working for Martin K. Eby Construction for 38 years. He was a lifetime member of Good Sams RV Club.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Brenda Moore; three sons, Steve Huntley and Jim Huntley and Bart Moore; a daughter, Connie Moore; seven brothers, Eldon, Lenious, John, Eric, Patrick, Clayton, and Robert Moore; a sister, Sally Elskin; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Rex Moore Jr.; and a sister, Sandra Drake.

A service was Saturday in the Family Life Center of Salem United Methodist Church, Newton.

Memorial funds have been established for the American Cancer Society and the American Legion of Florence.
