Melvin and Darlene Schmidt celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on Oct. 4 with their family. Malvina Heinrichs of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jerry Schmidt of Salina, and Leroy Schmidt of McPherson joined them for lunch in McPherson. In the afternoon, they visited Jeremy and Michelle Schmidt of McPherson.

Many from the Hillsboro area attended the monthly meeting of King’s Daughters on Oct. 2 at Durham Baptist Church. Connie Wiens was in charge of the lesson, and Anita Schmidt led the mission study. Donna Diener and Joan Gerringer were hostesses.

Tim and Donna Diener visited Arlene Pankratz on Oct. 5.

Wayne and Linda Friesen visited Justin and Amy Friesen and Levi of Salina on Oct. 4.

Amanda Leppke and Eva, and Levi and Hannah Terry recently visited Willis and Ruth Ann Penner. They celebrated Willis’s birthday together by attending the Salt City Cowboy Church in Hutchinson.
