NORTHWEST OF DURHAM:   Senior Citizens meet for potluck

Senior citizens of Durham met at the community building Oct. 22 for their monthly potluck dinner. Richard and Kathy Dirks were hosts with 10 in attendance. Richard Dirks and Judy Nightingale presented a musical program that was enjoyed by all.

Sarah Unruh and Katelin Hendricks spent the weekend at the home of their parents, Mark and Barb. On Monday, Barb and Katelin went to Newton to help with the MCC meat canning.

A group of about 15 from the Morning Star Church also went to Newton Monday morning to help with the MCC meet canning.

Invited dinner guests at the home of Calvin and Janene Wiebe on Oct. 26 were Roy and Nadine Davis, Tim Davis, Greg and Charlene Wedel and family, and Sandy Wiebe.

Cousins of the late H.P. Unruh family gathered at the home of Kaylene Unruh in Hillsboro Oct. 26 for a salad supper. Present were Ron and Dora Unruh; Jim and Carol Hind, Madison; Janice Randall, Lyndon; Dewayne and Elvera Dirks, Topeka; Dwight and Tami Flaming, Goessel; Gary and Gloria Rediger, Oliver Unruh, Jerry and Delora Decker, Newton; Jim and Brenda Enns, Lon and Deb Hiebert, Peabody; Stan and LaDonna Baltzer, Inman; Larry and Sherry Jost; and the honored guests, Lex and Annabel (Unruh) DeWitt of South Africa. The Dewitts were weekend houseguests then went on Monday to see their daughter in Moab, Utah.

Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Merlin and Karletta Wiebe, and Anthony and Beth Wiebe and family were Oct 26 dinner guests at the home of Aaron and Janessea Herbel in Tampa.
