Margaret Harris, who has been the person most responsible for maintaining a floral memorial to Joan Meyer outside the Marion County Record office, is inviting others to share in honoring Meyer’s memory.

She is suggesting donations of as little as $1 to help pay for paint, fresh potting soil, live plants, and permanent plants to decorate the Record’s entryway. Donations are being accepted at the Marion County Record office.

An anonymous donor has volunteered to match all money donated. Meyer died Aug. 12 of stress from an illegal police raid on the newspaper and her home.
